Butch Mowdy, Horse Trainer
Equine Kindergarten Butch Mowdy is a modern day "horse whisperer", horse show judge and horseman. He is highly sought after for his gentle and effective horse training methods. His techniques follow the methodology of Tom Dorrance and Ray Hunt, whom he personally knew and was mentored by. Butch is well know for saying "stay soft, stay light, and listen to your horse", which are essential to developing and maintaining a true, trusting relationship between horse and rider. Butch's honest character and gentle equestrian philosophy have been successful in both Western and English disciplines, from Cowhorse work to Dressage. Butch is married to Andrea Mowdy, the love of his life, and they reside in the Treasure Valley of Southwestern Idaho.
